1. Do people choose to be bisexual or is it inborn?
2. One of my friends is bisexual. Plus, I have heard from certain people that are bi that it is inborn and from others that it is their choice.
3. I think that some people choose to do it, but for certain individuals it is inborn and they feel as if they don't have a choice.
4.The reason I am interested about this topic is because I don't know much about it other than maybe seeing an episode of Oprah focused on it. I am also interested in how genetics may be connected to bisexuality.
5. I think one major aspect will be biology. The other will be religion/morals.
6. I might be able to interview someone who is bisexual.

that sounds like a very personal topic for most people. I am not sure if you could get many people to interview for it, but a paper on a subject like that would be very interesting. Make sure your paper is not biased one way or the other though, it is very controversial

I just heard a radio report on NPR that scientists are getting closer to finding a genetic basis for sexual preference. It was interesting that gay rights advocates had mixed opinions on the value of this research: some believed that a genetic basis for sexual preference might de-stigmatize homosexuality, while others believe that the research is misguided, because it might lead scientists to try to find a "cure" for if bi- or homosexuality if it is seen as a genetic "disorder."
Given the complexity of human sexuality, our preferences are probably not strictly "inborn" nor a simple matter of choice, anyway. In more ways than one, it makes sense to view bisexuality as a matter of "both/and," rather than "either/or."
That is, it might be interesting to look at bisexuality from a cultural perspective, to see the ways in which bisexuals challenge "either/or" ways of thinking about sexuality (gay OR straight) and people (man OR woman).
